Kylie Jenner Lip Combo : Catrice meets MAC

Hello !

I think we all agree on this, Kylie Jenner had a huge influence in the beauty world in 2014 and still has in 2015 : from her blue hair to her big lips, there are thousands and thousands of tutorials on Youtube to get the perfect look!

I'm not a big lipstick-lover, I'm more of a mascara/eyeliner - girl. I find that bold lips or bright reds don't look nice on me at all. I usually go for a lipbalm just so my lips don't look so dead! But when I saw Kylie's selfies, I noticed the gorgeous brown nude lipstick she was wearing and immediately needed to try something new!

I tried different combo's but finally found the PERFECT one to achieve the K.J look and I'm so excited to share it with you!

It's always better to use a lipliner before applying lipstick because it will give it a good base and also make it last longer. I went to Holland not long ago and found this lipliner by Catrice. It's a drugstore brand, available in a few European countries (Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland and maybe the UK ... ). Their products are really great and very affordable !
I found this lipliner from the Ultimate Stay Lip liner collection in 030 lost in the rosewood (any PLL fan here ? #BIGAREVEAL! )

On top of it, I use the famous Velvet Teddy by MAC. It's a matte lipstick, so you can be sure it won't budge and will last longer on your lips!

These two products make my favourite combo to achieve the perfect nude lips !

Will you try this combo? What do you think about the Kylie Jenner trend ? Let me know in the comments below :)

Review : L'Oréal Super Liner Ultra Precision

Hey there!

I hope that you're all doing well ! Spring is around the corner … really exciting!

Today's review is going to be the L'Oréal Black laquer ultra précision eyeliner. What a long name but gosh, it's amazing! Those who know me, probably know I almost never go out without eyeliner. And this one is a winner for me. It is one of the best  I've ever used. You know I like my Primark PS love eyeliner but this l'Oréal one is something else.

Let's start with the packaging : BEAUTIFUL. It's gold,  it looks so luxurious and expensive. Seriously how fancy does it look ? I love it. Imagine if it were rose gold ? I'd buy it without a doubt.

The applicator is a sponge-tip pen and is incredibly easy to use. It's also very fine so it helps you create a very precise line (that's why it's called ultra precision duuuuh). You can't fail your perfect cat eye line with this! The application is seriously so easy, so for all of you who aren't so familiar with eyeliners, you'll love this. The felt tip is so flexible which makes it so easy to create a very thin or thick line. I usually go for a flick. So I draw a thin line, close to my lash line starting in the middle of the lid and then draw a line from the bottom lash line (like a 45° line) and join it to the line that I previously drew and then fill in the gaps  :)

The lasting power is quite good. I apply it before going to uni and It usually lasts a few hours. It usually fades around the outter corner so I draw my flick again in the afternoon. But other than that, it doesn't smudge.

I think overall this is an amazing eyeliner and I will definitely repurchase it!

Do you think you will purchase this soon ? What's your favourite eyeliner ? Let me know in the comments below!

Review : Garnier Micellar Water / Is it worth the hype?

Hey everyone!

It's been a while since I last posted an article on here … but I have prepared a few for you for the next few weeks !  Oh and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I wish you all an amazing year :)

I've got a new review for you today, and it's the Garnier micellar water
Yes, everyone is raving about this product but is it worth the hype ?

A lot of you may be wondering what exactly is micellar water ? Well it contains micelles which are molecules that will act like magnets to your make up and all the dirt on your face.
With that being said, you understand what a great make up remover micellar waters can be!

Garnier micellar water is the first I've ever used, and I really don't know why I didn't discover this earlier because it made my life so much easier!

I apply it on a cotton pad and start to remove all the make up on my face then use a second one to remove all the dirt. After that I do the same steps but focus on my eyes. It's incredible how efficient it is at removing ALL the make up. It doesn't irritate the eyes, it just feels like water on your skin.

It doesn't contain a ton of chemical products which is always great for your skin. You'll quickly forget about these awful make up wipes who aren't removing half of the dirt that sits on your face. The Garnier Micellar Water really acts like a magnet to your make up and it will quickly become a MUST in your skincare routine.

I always have a few coats of mascara on and I wear eyeliner everyday and it does a pretty good job at removing almost all of it. I don't know about waterproof mascara's though , so I can't tell you much about it.

I didn't see any bad reaction on my skin or breakouts due to the use of this product. It's absolutely not drying your skin ! It's the most gentle make up remover I've tried. It's very gentle to all skin types even if you have sensitive skin (as it is said on the bottle).

Now the packaging is pretty simple, nothing too fancy. It's really affordable , you can find it at your local drugstore for example Boots for £4.99 and for  4,80€ in Belgium. It contains 400ml so it will definitely last you for a while.

I don't think I'll use any other make up remover anytime soon ! I totally am satisfied !

Have you tried the Garnier Micellar water ? If not, will you purchase it soon ?

Much love,

x
