Review : Neutrogena pink grapefruit facial wash

Hello there!

How is it mid-November already ? I can't believe we're a month away from 2015 (and my birthday soon) ! How crazy is that ? I wanted to share with you a new skincare product that I've been using during October and November. 

It's Neutrogena pink grapefruit facial wash ! Now, to be completely honest I bought this MONTHS ago and when I used it for about a week I hated it! Like I had breakouts all over my face and I thought It would just disappear after a week to clear my skin afterwards but it got worse so I stopped using it and  promised myself I'd never use it again. But here I am making a review about it months later. 

After I ran out of the Neutrogena 2 in 1 face wash, I decided I would give it a second chance because let's be honest I  had no other options. I was so surprised to see that my skin felt fresh, clean , smooth and after a few weeks I noticed less blemishes and blackheads. Is it thanks to the gel wash or something else ? I don't know but I'd say I've definitely seen a difference on my skin.
I have combination skin so my cheeks area is dry and my T-zone tends to be oily so if you have the same skin type, you could give this a try.
This product is quite drying as it contents Salicylic acid, which is often used in anti-acne products, so you really need to moisturize your skin afterwards. 

I have read a lot of terrible reviews on it and as I told you I hated it when I used it for the first time and now I really like it so , I would say give this a try and maybe try it later to see how it goes. Obviously this is my personal experience and maybe you'll hate it or maybe you'll absolutely love it , we all have different skin so we don't react the same way.

I love the gel consistency and use it by massaging it in  circular motions on dry skin first (so without water) and then add hot water and finally rinse it off with cold water.
I only use this in the evening after removing my make up :)

Hey there!

Look at me coming back after more than a month like nothing happened ….. SORRY!
I have tried to focus on my Youtube channel, Uni and all the stress that goes with that! I'm definitely going to blog more , pinky promise!

Now these last few months I've been trying a lot of different make up brands : Rimmel, Maybelline, L'Oréal, Bourjois,Essence .. a lot of drugstore brands right ? Well that's because we all know money is not our bestfriend unless you're One Direction or Beyonce's baby .. So why not telling you which one of these brands I've been ADORING these last few months ?

What if I tell you that you're worth it ? Yupp, you got it : L'OREAL

I think l'Oréal has such an amazing product range from skincare to hair products. I tried a lot of them!
Make up wise they have such a various collection … I'm going to tell you about my favourites and the ones who are on my wishlist! :D

Skin

Their foundations are really really good, everyone (including me) has been raving about the True Match foundation (which I think is the best drugstore foundation I've tried so far)  but also the Infaillible foundation. They have quite a good range of shades which I think is perfect for people who have darkest skin tones and still want to find a good drugstore foundation. I really would love to try more of their foundations like the Lumi magic one. They're just really good quality, affordable and they don't break me out !
Unfortunately, I can't tell you a lot about concealers cause I haven't tried any but looking forward to trying the Lumi Magic concealer (there's something about that  collection that screams 'BUY ME'…).
I love their powders as well , especially the True Match powder that doesn't give a caky look at all but mattifies your skin perfectly. I'd love to try their Glam bronze bronzer !

Eye 

It's not a secret, L'Oréal mascaras are my favourite mascaras ever. I have tried many others but always come back to theirs. My all time favourite one is the Telescopic mascara. There's not a day where I don't apply one coat of this mascara even after applying another one. It separates my lashes and makes them look so much longer. I am often asked if I am wearing false lashes … but no it's just the mascara!
I also love the Volume million lashes which is also my mum's all time favourite. It's really good if you're looking for full, voluminous and black lashes. I could ramble about l'Oréal mascaras for hours so I really need to stop here ;) !
I'm an eyeliner wearer (let's call it like that !?) and I have been loving the Super liner blackbuster eyeliner these last months ! It's always in my make up bag! I also can't wait for my Super liner black lacquer to arrive! I've tried it before and I have a feeling it's gonna become my fav eyeliner !

Lips  

I'm not a massive lipstick lover, but when I do wear lipstick I always go for nudes! So the Color rich lipstick in 303 Rosé tendre looks beautiful ! I just can't wait to try it! I've tried lots of their lip glosses from the Glam shine collection, all so shimmery and beautiful !

I think I could keep going with hair products  and skincare but that article would be way too long!

NEW DISCOVERY : W7 MAKE UP (+)

Hello there!

In my summer favs article I told you about a new discovery : W7 make up.
I was kindly sent some products to try and see what I think about them! I was kind of surprised at how good the products where ! I didn't expect to like them that much but some of them became a must in my make up bag! I'll talk you through each product that I got and tell you more about them!

- Face primer - Camera Ready

This changed my whoooole make up look! I used to never use primers before applying foundation simply because I never thought it could make a big difference. I was wrong! I apply this primer everyday before my foundation and it gives me that flawless finish look that I love. The name is great because your skin looks really amazing on pictures. It makes your pores disappear and  your foundation lasts all day. This is my favorite product that I got from W7. I highly recommend it. It blends easily on the skin and is really affordable! - Blush baby : Heart throb

I love this blush! You should have seen my reaction when I first applied it because I wasn't expecting it to be that pigmented. You don't need a lot on your brush. It will give you a nice healthy look. It comes in 3 different shades and the one I have is a nice dark pink shade. Very similar to the Rimmel London blusher. You can find this here x

- Silky Eyes Mauve Magic eyeshadow palette

If you're looking for a great palette with nice shades for this fall you have it here! It is perfect to create a nice smokey eyes. It's compact and fits perfectly in a make up bag! You can find it here x

- Full time Lip colour in Angel dust

To be completely honest this isn't my favourite lip gloss. I have it on now : the colour is beautiful and it does last a long time but it's quite sticky. You can find it here x

Summer beauty favorites!

Helloo everyone I am officially back !

Summer is almost over and I've definitely changed my make up routine! I thought it would be cool to show you what products I have been using and show you step by step what I do :)

For my base :

I have stopped using foundations unless I'm going out somewhere (like a party or so ..) and replaced it with BB Cream. My favourite one is by Garnier. I've seen a massive difference on my skin since I've stopped using foundation and re-using this BB cream and I remember why I love it so much. I have less spots and blemishes, it has minimized my pores. My skin is moisturized and looks so much better. Also, I always make sure I'm wearing SPF and this one has SPF 15. I've seen some pics of how damaging the sun can be on one's skin and omg I don't want to be old and wrinkled and ugh. PROTECT YOUR SKIN! :)

Second thing that I do is applying concealer on my dark circles, chin, around my nose and where I need it really (my skin is far from being perfect as you know duuuuh). I use my favourite concealer  the Maybelline Eraser Eye concealer light. I already mentioned in one of my month's favourite (link). It has a great coverage and it matches my skin tone really well. As I told you before I highly recommend this product!

As I was on vacation for 3 weeks I got a nice tan so these previous products became too light for my skintone. I switched my BBcream for the Chanel Vitalumière (I got a sample and it's FAB! ) I really hope I'll be able to buy the full bottle soon ! I didn't feel the need to powder my skin as the foundation lasts really well and it doesn't give a too shiny effect.

Contouring :

This is something new to me as I never really used to contour my face during summer but I saw such a big difference! It immediately gives you a healthy glow and makes your tan look even better! I used my The Balm Bahama Mama bronzer x that I talked to you about in a previous article! It's amazing and it matches my skin tone perfectly! find it here 

Blush :

I discovered this make up brand W7,and used one of their blush this summer but I'll definitely post an article all about that! Can't wait to show you all.


EYEBROWS!

This is not a secret! My one and only favourite brow product : HD brows eye& brow palette! I love it so much that it's the only one brow product I use. I highly recommend it and it's even perfect for smokey eyes!

On to the eyes!

I didn't go crazy with eyeshadows .. I wanted something simple so I used my amazing Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick palette in Raw Sugar! I really loved the rose gold shade ! I can make you a more in depth review of this product if you want, just let me know!

On top of that of course, I never go out without eyeliner and mascara! I used my Primark PS love Eyeliner x or my L'Oréal blackbuster eyeliner, it's perfect to create a winged eyeliner and for mascara I used a combo of two amazing mascara's : L'Oréal telescopic mascara x (duuuuh I LOVE IT!) and Too faced Better than Sex mascara. These two together are magical !

And for my lips :

I fell in love with Mac Velvet Teddy ! It's the perfect nude lipstick. and as a lip balm I tried two : my EOS strawberry lip balm and Labello in soft rosé!

That is about it! I will post a video about my summer favourites on my youtube channel (yes it's new! )  so I can tell you a bit more, otherwise this article is going to be way too long! :)

Primark Beauty Haul ! :)

Hello beauties!

Last week I went to Primark and got A LOT of things! I had to show you all the beauty stuff that I got because let's be honest this blog is not called Beautyholic Sirine for nothing.

Let's start with make up shall we !

PS LOVE volumising mascara

 I tried this on yesterday and let's be honest it's nothing compared to the Telescopic Mascara by l'Oréal but it's not too bad. I think it's great if you want to stay very natural but still have nice lashes. 

PS LOVE Brow pencil

My mum got this because I'm not a big fan of brow pencils (You know I love my HD brow palette) but I still will give this a try! It comes with a spooly on one side and the pencil on the other side. This was I think 1,50€ I believe so you can't really go wrong :) 

PS love Lip stain pencil 

Gorgeous colour, very easy and quick to apply ! I don't think there's a lot to say ! I'll let you know in the future to tell you what I really think about it. 

PS LOVE Khol eye liner

Who doesn't love a deep black liner ? I think this is perfect to line my waterline. I used it today and really loved the result! 

PS LOVE stippling brush & blush brush

                                                    

Brushes are a must to apply make up and this one has become my new favorite! I use it to blend my concealer and I love it so much !

This brush is amazing for blush and bronzer! 

PS LOVE EYELASH CURLER

How can't you just buy this when it's bright neon orange ? I just had … + it is great! 

PS LOVE EYE PENCIL

I had to get these because they're one of my favs so far! They're deep black, easy to apply ! perfect for waterline! 

That was all the make up-ish stuff that I got! On to the jewelry shall we ? 

All of these have been picked by my mum, mostly statement necklaces but I'm definitely going to wear them all this summer! 

 I can't pick a fav! They're all so beautiful and can make a simple outfit classy ! :)

Last but not least .. this has nothing to do with beauty but I had to show you !

TOP 5 nail polishes for Summer

Hey everyone! 

Summer is finally here ! I usually change the type of colours I wear on my nails. Pastel and bright colours are so trendy at the moment  that's why I wanted to show you my most favourite nail polishes. 

Number 1 Maybelline Express Finish lacquer in 530 Red seduction

I love this nail polish because it dries so quickly, it's easy to apply and it's very long lasting. This colour is great cause you can wear it at any time of the year. Perfect red shade I guess :) 

Number 2 Maybelline Express Finish Lacquer in 155 Fushia 

How gorgeous is this bright pink ? I love it ! I usually only wear it during spring and summer! It's the perfect bright pink colour. Once again it's very long lasting and it dries very quickly! 

If you're looking for a great alternative you can try the NYC nail polish in 236 Greenwich Village which is also one of my favs! 

Number 3 Hema long lasting nail polish in 441. 

This gorgeous colour is from their pastel collection. I absolutely love it .. unfortunately I've been looking for it everywhere and I can't seem to find it to show you what it looks like (It's probably in one of my handbags .. ;) ). Claire's cosmetics do a great alternative for this, in number 283. 

Number 4 Hema long lasting nail polish in 856 

This nail polish is for me the perfect nude shade. The picture doesn't do it justice it's a bit more orange. you can see the right colour here  . Again if you can't get your hands on Hema nail polishes you can try the KIKO nail lacquer in number 319. 

Number 5 H&M in Polish Me Happy

Last but not least this perfect green colour by H&M ! I don't usually wear green but whenever I wear this nail polish I just feel like it looks awesome! It's easy to apply and you don't need a topcoat for it to look shiny. Apply two coats and you're good to go!

Natural skincare products!

Hello beauties!

Skincare is THE most important step in your daily beauty routine (does this even make sense?) but products can be very very expensive. I had issues with my skin these past two months (stress of exams make my skin go crazy! ) so I really struggled with spots and blemishes. 

I didn't want to spend too much on drugstore skincare products so I looked on the internet and decided to make my own natural products. 

So here are some masks/scrubs that might help you if you are having a hard time with your skin at the moment :) 

1. HONEY & GREEN TEA MASK

I won't go in too much details as I already posted an article about this just click here if you wanna see that! 

Simply mix a tea spoon of green tea with a tea spoon of raw honey, mix it all together and apply on your skin, leave for 10 to 15mins and rinse it off with cold water. That is by far my fav natural mask! :) 

2. HONEY & LEMON

Honey is such an amazing product cause it is an antibacterial so it's perfect for acne, it also has antioxidants which help you slow aging, it opens up your pores so it helps cleaning your pores and makes it easier to unclog and is really moisturizing. 

Lemon is also amazing for acne and for healing scars.
Put these two together and BOOM! Magic happens!
I use this after washing my face with a cleanser. I use a cotton pad, apply it on my face and rinse it off with cold water. I only use it during my evening skincare routine (too lazy in the morning)
I would recommend this if you have spots or blemishes.
You can also add yoghurt to the mixture , it has a lot of benefits as well (but it looks kind of gross haha)

3. EGG WHITE & LEMON MASK

I told you about how good lemon juice is but egg white has some amazing benefits too! I use it mainly when I feel like my pores are too visible. Egg white will help "closing" your pores and so reduce your spots. All you have to do is mix an egg white with the juice of half a lemon and apply the mixture with a cotton pad on your face after your cleanser. I also use it only in the evening. Keep this in the fridge for a few days only.

4. SUGAR SCRUB

The most natural scrub you could have is just water and sugar. It helps to get take off all your make up completely and also get rid of your dead skin. Your skin will feel clean and new after using this. You can also replace sugar with sea salt.


That's basically everything I've tested so far ! I use the green tea mask only once a week. I use the honey/lemon almost everyday and sometimes replace it with the egg white/lemon mask depending on how my skin is doing. Obviously all these ingredients put together look kind of gross and don't smell amazing but their effects on your skin definitely are!

So as you may noticed I haven't uploaded a new post for a few weeks. That's because I'm still doing my final exams (I'm sure you are too) ! I'll be done this friday that's why I promise you a lot more articles! I really want to post things you'd love to read , so I decided to create this post where you could REQUEST the different things you'd like me to post about.

To help you with that I have a few ideas :
- celebrity/people inspired make up tutorials : I could do easy make up tutorials inspired by whoever you want. It can be celebrities but also youtubers or simply people you follow on twitter (example : Doniya Malik) who have quite a signature look.
- hauls: I could simply show you everything that I will have bought in the next few weeks (sales start on July 1st but I'll definitely make A LOT of shopping next week)
- fashion posts : I could show you my outfit of the days really quickly or even make a post on my favorite brands (cause you know I don't wear classy clothes everyday. I like to go to uni with a simple tee and jeans and converse! )
- other: ?


I'm looking forward to reading your comments ! Making a blog is great, but the best part is to please my readers. I want to make sure you are excited to read a new article every time I post one !

April & May favourites

Hello beautiful ! 

Today I have got a new article for you : April & May favourites !

 let's jump straight into it :) 

1. HD BROWS EYE&BROW PALETTE 

This is by far my favourite product of these last months.. I got this palette a few months ago and before then I didn't feel the need to fill my eyebrows in as they are quite full and dark naturally. Be I clearly noticed a real difference since I fill them in and now I feel like my make up is not complete without my eyebrows being filled. 

But why do I love this palette so much ? I think it's the perfect brow product. You have 6 different shades so everyone can find/create thee perfect shade to match their eyebrows. It also comes with a perfect brush ! I think the brush is really good and takes the right amount of product to avoid any excess. It is also long lasting so perfect for a night out or long day of work :)  Also I think it is the perfect perfect palette for smokey eyes! It's the one I usually use ! The packaging is amazing with a big mirror so great for traveling. 

It is quite expensive, I think it is 39€ but it is such a good product that I recommend !

2. THE BALM BAHAMA MAMA BRONZER. 

I discovered this bronzer thanks to my bestfriend who has it for quite a long time, and I used it whenever I could. She kindly got one for me and I love it so much ! I use it everyday more to contour my face. It's incredibly long lasting and it's a perfect shade for this time of the year. It is matte so it won't give you a glowing finish but that is what I like the most to contour. It will give you this tanned look so you can pretend you went on vacation haha :D 

It is 13€ so good product for a good price :) I love the packaging as well, that mirror is great ! So perfect to keep in your makeup bag!

3. L'Oréal false lash telescopic mascara. 

Okaaaaay ! Things are getting serious! You know how much I love mascara's right ? It's a must for me and I love trying new ones now and then  ! Two months ago I told you about Maybelline the falsies that I really love but hey l'Oréal did such a great job with this mascara ! Big thank you to the amazing Youtuber Barbara (aka ThePersianBabe on YT) who always has amazing lashes and made me want to buy this immediately! It really give you a false lashes effect with only a few coats ! The brush is perfect and gives more lenght to your lashes without plumping ! I use it everyday and I have to say l'Oréal makes the best mascara ! So thank you !! :D I highly recommend this product! It can change your whole look!! It opens your eyes,make you look more awake (periode for exams period haha) .. To prove that I made a before / after pic! It's also a very good price (16€) so you won't regret it !

Primark PS LOVE products!

 Hello gorgeous!

A few weeks ago, I went away for a weekend in Dublin and it was absolutely amazing! I obviously made a LOT of shopping there especially in Primark since there's no Primark in the city where I live.
I saw that PS love collection and I was curious to use some of the products. I got myself the liquid eyeliner and a lip gloss  crayon.
I wanted to share with you my thoughts on these products and show you some pics :)

PS LOVE liquid Eyeliner.

I've been using gel eyeliner/ pen eyeliner quite a lot and I missed my old liquid eyeliner so I had to buy this! I don't regret buying it! It's a great eyeliner, the black is quite intense! It's quite easy to use and perfect for a winged liner ! You can built it up by starting with a thin line and make it thicker until you're happy with the result! It is quite long-lasting : I usually apply it in the morning before going to uni and it almost didn't move in the afternoon! Also, it's a bargain, I think it was 1,50€ you can't really go wrong ;)

PS LOVE Lip Gloss Crayon 

Nude lipsticks are my favorite type of lipsticks, reds and purples don't look great on me at all ! I saw this and I knew I had to buy it! I'm not very familiar with lip gloss crayons but it's quite cool! It doesn't make such a big difference on my lips but it's nice to wear on a daily basis. I wouldn't say it's long lasting but you can easily put it in your make up bag and apply it again throughout the day.
It was 2€ from what I can remember.
