Tutorial : Evening make up

              Hello guys!
Hope you had a great week!
My bestfriend asked me to post an evening make up tutorial, I thought I'd do a quick one for her (and for you) . I apologize for the quality of the pics, the lighting was awful!  :)

I'm going to be using this eyeshadow palette and a Essence stays no matter what eyeshadow pencil (08 chocolate brownie)

                                                      

                                                  STEP ONE 

So I first applied the lightest shadow (A) all over my lid as a base. 

                                             STEP TWO

Apply the essence eyeshadow pencil on the outer corner of your lid and with a blending brush blend the colour to the center of the lid. The blending is really important in this step.

                                            STEP THREE

Apply the colour B from the palette on your crease and blend it with a blending brush.

                                             STEP FOUR

Use the colour C like if you were applying eyeliner. So trace a line close to your lash line and blend it, it doesn't have to be perfect.

                                                     STEP FIVE

You can add a darker colour (D) on your crease if you want it to be more intense. Apply the eyeshadow pencil on your waterline and bottom lash line and blend it well. Add some mascara, be very generous with the mascara.

And you're pretty much done! You could wear this to a party. I'm not a massive fan of very heavy make up even for the evening. I like it to be simple and pretty. You can obviously add more shadows if you want it to be more intense. Hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial.

If you want unique handcrafted jewellery ... this company is made for you! Rachel is such an AMAZING women! She is so talented and is absolutely sweet to everyone! She made jewels for Zayn Malik (oh yess!) and Perrie Edwards from Little Mix. I have my own quote bracelet with Zayn's quote "Be true to who you are" and I love it! The customer service is really good and the jewels are so beautiful! If you want something in particular you can ask her and she'll try to make it for you!

Top 10 favorite beauty products of 2013

2013 is now over and 2014 is here! I hope you all had a fantastic year, and wish you the best for 2014 ! I hope you'll be a loyal reader on this blog so I could keep sharing my tips and love for make up with you all !
I thought it would be a good idea to do a TOP TEN favourite beauty products of 2013!
It would be interesting to see what product we have in common, or make you discover a new product!
Let's do this!

My number 10 products are eyeshadows, I have a lot of different palettes but I noticed that I used 2 in particular this year!
the first one that I have is the l'Oreal Penelope Cruz Star secret kit and the Leaticia Casta Star kit. Unfortunately these products are not available anymore but I'm sure you can find some alternatives by l'Oreal as well.
I love the colours and quality of the eyeshadows, I rarely use all of the eyeshadows together but it's really good for beginners as it has some tips on where to apply the different eyeshadow.

If you don't know the brand Essence ... YOU HAVE TO CHECK THEM OUT! ahha, it's actually a very good brand, they make good beauty products for good prices. My number 9 is actually their nail polishes and nail products! I know it's not 1 product but it's simply impossible to pick just one. The nail polishes are really good, they have some nice colours but also their nail care products are so good! They have a variety of different products to help you to take care of your nails all year long!

My favorite nail polish has to be the number 113 Do you speak love (can't seem to find it so no pics for this one but check the link) ? I love this colour which was perfect for autumn. My favorite nail care product is their nail oil care pencil.

You may have noticed that the way that you apply your foundation can change your make up a lot! I really started to use make up brushes this year and now I can't do without them. The one that I use the most is the Claire's accessories kabuki brush ! I use it to apply foundation. I wish I could get the whole kit.

Garnier Roll-on concealer. This is the only concealer I've used for months! It's really good, and can be used as a highlighter as well! I simply love it !

This next product is something I know thanks to my mum. This is the only powder she has ever used since she got married and first applied make up. This is the Max Factor creme puff press powder! I use it everyday, it fixes make up pretty well ! I am gonna get the Rimmel Stay Matt powder pretty soon, I'm looking forward to use it!

This is something I discovered this year! Such an amazing product! This is the Cha Cha tint (& Posie tint) by Benefit ! I already made a review on the Cha cha tint so I won't go further with this! The posie tint gives such a natural colour to your lips! Perfect for everyday make up!

I recently got a new eyeliner ! I love it, it's from Essence! it's called the I <3 Punk jumbo eyeliner ! I love it as much as the SNMW eyeliner also by essence (review here) , maybe even more! So easy to use ! I only take 2mins to apply my eyeliner and it lasts pretty well. It's a bargain ! Don't hesitate!

 Wooow ! getting in the top 3 ! This is something that I've already talked about! The Rimmel Wake me up foundation ! It was my favorite foundation until I used another one (hint hint .. cough cough ) but I still adore it a lot!! I still use it sometimes when I feel like I need a bit more coverage! I also made a review on this so you can read it here !

Here we go ... Mascara time! Mascara is my favorite product ever! If I had to use one product for the rest of my life it would be mascara! I have long lashes so it immediately gives an amazing effect ! I could try different mascaras everyday cause I love it so much! But this year I have 3 favorite mascaras!

Ran out of the falsies so no pics sorry! 

The first one is the L'Oréal Volume million lashes ! This thing is just so good! Definitely gives more volume and an intense effect to your eye! it's sooo good!
The second one is the Maybelline the falsies! Everyone loves this and I know why! it just does everything you need a mascara to do! What can I say more ? nothing really! it's just so good! 10/10 !
and last but not least ! They're Real by Benefit! I discovered this magical thing this year and WOW! First time I used it I was soooo surprised by how good it was! I was like "wow never knew I had that much lashes! " so the name is the best one for this!

Drum roll please ...... the winner of my favorite product of 2013 is ............ BOURJOIS HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION! YES! I hesitated for so long between this one and Wake me up by Rimmel before buying it! I bought the Rimmel one first then got the Bourjois one and WOW! Love it! It's not heavy on the skin, you don't feel like wearing anything on your skin! It really gives the coverage you need and you can build it up if you feel the need to! You need to use a powder on top to fix it. But in general I just love this! Wake me up is so good as well, the only bad thing is the shimmer in it (gives you a too shiny effect sometimes! )
I used the boujois healthy mix foundation almost everyday since I got it ! Thank you Bourjois for such a great product!

Review : Rimmel : Wake me Up foundation

Hiiiii ! 

I got myself the Wake me up foundation by Rimmel at the beginning of 2013, for those who followed me on my tumblr I posted this review a long time ago, but I thought it would be cool to include it in my blog ! I really took time to choose this foundation, watched plenty of reviews , read blog posts and all. I heard about two foundations : 

The Bourjois healthy mix foundation (review coming soon!) 

Rimmel Wake me up foundation

I have a dry skin and not perfect , I have flaws I’d like to cover so I needed a foundation with a good coverage. I heard the bourjois was light covering compared to the Wake me up which is medium. 

the two are very similar , but as I needed a good coverage I went for Rimmel! 

I really needed to pick the right shade for my skin, as I always go for the wrong one , either too dark or too light. Anyway, I went for 202 soft beige, which seemed to be the closer one for my skin tone. And it matches my skin tone so it’s cool! :) 

At first application (with a brush) I was so surprised at how easy it was to apply, very nice and soft on the skin, and also smelt soooo nice! 

I didn’t need to much product but I just added a bit on some areas where I needed it the most. 

the coverage is okay, build-able though, but I think powder is needed if you want it to last all day. It doesn’t give you the impression that you have foundation on which is so nice! But I noticed that after a few hours my blemishes are visible so I need to just put a little bit more product on (only negative point I found for the foundation) 

It really has this anti-fatigue effect which is perfect on a monday morning to go to uni (ugh)! And it makes your skin so nice and fresh, and glowing! 

I love this foundation it really is one of the best one I’ve used so far (told you .. Bourjois Healthy mix review is coming ;) ) !

Review : Cha Chat tint by Benefit :)

Hi there!!

So I thought I could make a review on one of my favourite product I used this September! And this is the amazing Cha Cha tint by Benefit.

Yes, I said Amazing. Because it really is. I got it a month ago I think, and I used it A LOT.

Here we go .. 1st application

So when my make up was done, it was time for the lips. I wasn’t really sure of how to apply the Cha Cha tint.. (It actually looks like a nail polish I know). So I applied it on my lips with the brush,evenly, and then BOOM .MAGIC HAPPENS. It sets really quickly, and your lips look AMAZING ! Or should I say CHAMAZING! I was suprised at how good it looks & the texture is suprising too because it changes & disappear to become that nice pink/coral lip colour.

More than that you can also apply it on your cheeks (easier with your finger) and it gives a nice,fresh, cute look! I don’t contour my face when I have it on my cheeks cause I think
We don’t need more than that to look fresh and natural.

I use it a lot, and you can believe me when I say it lasts ! You may feel like your lips are dry at first but you can put some lip balm on top if you feel the need to.

The coral colour is really nice, it doesn’t make you look like a strawberry at all, it actually gives that nice natural look everyone is looking for (I think ) . :)

Negative point : it’s pricey! But you can actually save money or put this on your Christmas/ birthday wishlist :) you won’t regret it!

The packaging is really cute and funny! Like every benefit product! It catches the eye .. I just love it!

Anyway, I definitely recommand that product! I hope you like that review, tell me what you think about it or any other product you’d like me to review :)

Daily make up tutorial

Hello there !

I’ve been asked to do a make up tutorial on how I do my daily/cat eye make up look so I did it for you today.

STEP 1 .

I apply an eyeshadow base ; I am using the ‘I HEART STAGE’ by Essence. I apply this all over my lid 

STEP 2 

I mix the two light beige colours (at number 2 and 3) from my Bourjois Palettes (they have no names, just a number 02 and 03) and apply these all over the lid with a sponge brush.

STEP 3

With a thinner brush I apply this colour (number 4) on the crease to create a shadow. I am using the darkest brown from the  Bourjois number 2 palette.

Step 4

Using my MUA Gel eyeliner in black and my eyeliner brush by Catrice I make a thin line as close as  possible t then do a small flick. If you are scared or not good at applying eyeliner DON’T STOP haha you have to practice you’ll get better and better with time ! STEP 5 

(it is picture number 4, sorry about that)Mascara time!! I am using the Volume Million lashes by l’Oreal. I don’t use any false eyelashes, but you can if you want to.

STEP 6 (pic number 5)

Apply some white pencil on your waterline. I am using my Essence Khajol pencil in number 4 white. And use a black liner on your bottom lash line, I am using a simple primark eye pencil.
this step will make your eye look bigger. AND YOU ARE DONE WITH THE EYES! YAAAAAYFor the rest of my face (7)
Foundation ; Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation shade 52 vanilla

Concealer ; Garnier roll on concealer

Cheeks ; Suness ‘Mon teint bronze sans soleil’ blusher

Lips ; Cha cha tint by Benefit.

and you are completely done!!!! .=)

Hair routine / tutorial

Hello ! 

         As I promised here is my Hair tutorial post! 

I’ve been asked a few times how I do my hair, so here is a quick (long) tutorial on how I do it :

First thing you need to know is that my natural hair are really curly. I don’t like to go out with my natural hair so I either straight it or curl my ends with a curling iron. 

- What I use :

My shampoo is the John Freda go blonder shampoo. I got ombre hair at the beginning of 2013 and then cut my hair during summer. So I kinda lost that ombre hair so I wanted to use something that could make it come back a little bit. I’m quite happy with the John Freda shampoo. It does not make a big difference but my ends are blonder but the rest of my hair (that I didn’t dye in the first place) stayed the same. I wouldn’t recommand this shampoo if you never dyed your hair because your colour won’t change

. 

My conditionner is the l’Oreal INOAColor care protective Conditionner  ; I also have the shampoo that I use sometimes and the mask . I love them ! They make my hair silky, smooth and smell so good! I highly recommend the products. 

I almost never apply a mask on my hair (I’m lazy so I don’t have much time for that) except when my hair is damaged (I use straightener and curling iron a lot) . 

After washing my hair I let it dry naturally and then apply a heat protection spray. I use the Franck Provost Heat protection spray . I love it and use it for years! It’s so good to protect your hair from being damaged and stuff! 

Then with a hair brush, I brush my hair to detangle the knots and separate it  in two sections : left and right. 

I start from the back with small sections (about 3/4cm) and just go with the straightener. I don’t leave the iron a lot on my hair but I repeat the action until it’s perfectly straightened. You can use a comb in the same time it helps a lot.

So I keep going from the back of my head to the front, and do the same steps again with the other section (the right one if you started with the left, or the left if you started with the right .. does it make sense? haha ).  

The straightener that I use is the Remington S9500 Pearl Hair Straightener , I used to have a Babyliss one but I love the Remington. It makes my hair much smoother. It’s really good. 

To curl my ends (I don’t curl my hair from the top of my hair) I just do the exact same steps : separate my hair in two sections then take smaller sections and curl starting from the middle of my hair length (don’t know if you understand that ..) . I curl to the outside(away from my hair) then inside (for the next section) then outside …ect to give that not so perfect effect. It gives a more messy and natural look. I also start from the back to the front and always curl the front sections of your hair AWAY from your face (it gives a better effect as well).

I use the Babyliss easy curl ! It’s so good, I have it for a year now and it literally is so easy to use and it’s much quicker than curling with a straightener. 

To finish you can always use some hairspray ( L’Oreal makes good ones) to fix the curls and give a shiny effect.

Review : Essence, Stays no matter what Waterproof eyeliner.

Hello there!!

If you know me, you probably know that I often go on make up shopping sprees … And if you don’t know me well now you do know that. 👍I got a few products last time & I’m going to do reviews of some products I got.

The first one is the Essence “Stays no matter what Eyeliner (24h)”

I was so curious to try this out as I am an eyeliner addict! I can’t go out without wearing my eyeliner .So it’s a pen eyeliner , and it’s a product from their “Stays no matter what” collection.. I thought it would be a great idea to try this out!

Packaging :

I love it! It’s simple, catches the eye & really cute! And it fits in any make up bag!

1st time I used it :

I used it like any other eyeliner , and I was suprised at how deep the black was. I hate when the eyeliner is not deep enough . But this one really is ! The application is easy thanks to the applicator which is quite flexible, and it allows you to create any look you want : cate eye, simple line , … Use your imagination !

Quality :

Is it really a long lasting product ? Hell yeah! I put it at 7am and at 5pm it’s still in place. A little bit less black but nothing too noticeable.
I once slept with my make up (it’s bad .. I know) and guess what? My eyeliner was still there in the morning! Yes!! I know! Crazy!
It’s a real struggle to take it off, you may take a few minutes and need a good make up remover to have a clean eye (does it make sense?)

Price :

A BARGAIN ! I got it for 2,75€ which is really cheap for an eyeliner.

So … :
I highly recommend this product if you want a cheap,good quality, lasting eyeliner! I will definitely purchase it again soon !
